Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

BrainsWay Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that uses a magnetic field to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. The magnetic field is delivered to the brain through a coil placed on the scalp, and the stimulation can be targeted to specific regions of the brain.

Deep TMS is primarily used to treat anxiety, depression, and OCD. However, it has also been investigated for conditions such as Brain strokes, Parkinsons’, and Alzheimers. The therapy involves daily sessions of magnetic stimulation, typically lasting around 20 minutes, for four weeks.

The Deep TMSstimulates the release of neurotransmitters and increases the activity of neural circuits in the brain. Studies have shown that  Deep TMS can effectively treatanxiety, depression, and OCD, particularly for individuals who have not responded well to medication.

During aDeep TMS session, a small coil is placed on the scalp, and a magnetic field is used to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. The stimulation can be targeted to specific areas of the brain, depending on the condition being treated.
